Orvek was the founder of Orveka, also known as Gnome Town.

Orvek had fled from Port Town, which was later renamed Stondar City. He fled because of persecution by dwarves led by Noreg son of Thoreg who would later become Prince Noreg of Stondar. Other gnomes followed as the persecution worsened and Orvek's lone house became a village. Orveka is often called "Gnome Town" by non-gnomes. Gnomes prefer the name Orveka because there was a larger and far more ancient town called Gnome Town in the Fair Lands in the time of the Elder Gods. The original Gnome Town was destroyed in the Great Cataclysm.
