During the Ogre Wars, organized groups of ogres raided every inhabited island in the known world. Ogres normally are solitary creatures. It is not known how or why they have banded together. Ogre raiders have been very aggressive and vicious, but this is normal behavior for ogres, even when they are living their solitary lives in the wilderness.

Unlike most ogres, the Ogre Raiders are well armed and have been known to use ships and boats. It was believed that they came from Ogre Island, but after the ogres were driven off of Ogre Island, the raids continued.
