There are two kinds of healing, natural and magical.

Natural Healing

It takes time to heal, but rest is not enough. If you are starving, you won't heal. If you do have food to eat when you are hungry. (try to eat it and a message will come up indicating whether your character ate it or was not hungry. You can also check your attributes to see what number is there for "Hungry". Zero means you are not hungry.)

The idea is TIME + FOOD = HEALING.

This same process not only heals health problems, it also restores energy and mana.

Magical Healing

There are various methods of magical healing. Some of these are the heal self spell, and the heal others spell. There is also healing that can be done by the gods and there may be magic items or potions which heal as well as magic places that heal.

The Fellowship of Kraylus has priests and priestesses skilled in the arts of magical healing. Foremost among these healers is Beepe, who desired to be a healer in the early days of the First Age. She requested of Kraylus that he make a spell to allow her to magically heal others and this request was granted. This wast he origin of the magical healers because this was the first spell that allowed one person to heal another. Beepe was also the leader of The-Soul guild.
