Dinek was a gnome who lived in the First Age. He was born in Stondar City when it was still known as Port Town. He moved to Worfin Island and became a noted fisherman and merchant.

Dinek told a tale that one day he went into the interior of Worfin Island along with Beepe, Allort and Thaero. They were set upon by an ogre that killed Allort and Beepe. Dinek claimed to have killed the wounded ogre before it could slay Thaero. Though Allort and Beepe went to the underworld, since Allort was high priest of Krellin's Flock and Beepe was the senior priestess of the Fellowship of Kraylus, few doubted the would be resurrected by the gods.
