A range of mountains running generally north to south through the known world in the time of the Elder Gods. It is believed to have had a different name in those days, but it is now long forgotten. This mountain range included Dwarven Mountain and major routes over or under it were Under Mountain Pass and High Pass.

It is believed that some islands including possibly Sheep Island, Worfin Island, the small islands near Worfin Island and the legendary Kale Island may be the tops of the mountains of the Central Mountain range that became submerged beneath the sea during the Great Cataclysm.
